FILMS FOR FUN & FESTIVALS

Occasionally, we find the time to make films for fun and festivals, allowing us to combine our passion for storytelling with our extracurricular interests of surfing and wine.

COLOMBIA 2020 - Shot on iPhone | Edited in Isolation

In early 2020 Nicky spent 5 weeks backpacking with her partner Ben, and 3-year-old daughter around Colombia.
She shot this film on her iPhone and edited it in self-isolation during the global lockdown of 2020.

LOCKDOWN LIVING

Family life in Devon during the second week of Covid19 Lockdown. Shot by Nicky on her iPhone and DJI Phantom Pro Drone

VINVIXEN

Julie Campbell (aka the Vinvixen) owned a very relaxed wine shop in Dalston that was a real community hub. There were no pretensions, no red trousers – just locals (and their dogs) dropping in to try great wine.

This kind of observational, natural filmmaking is really at the heart of what we do. Simplifying stories down to just a couple of minutes and capturing beautiful, atmospheric visuals that really represent a sense of place and someone’s personality.

The film was selected by “The Wine Merchant” as one of the editor’s top picks.

CRAP SURFER

Crap surfer is a comedy doco shortlisted and screened at the London Surf Film festival and Cornish Film Festival way back in 2012.

FLUID JUICE

When Nicky went to collect her new custom made surf board from Adrian Phillips at Fluid Juice Surfboards, she took one look at the place and knew she had to make a film about it!

The film premiered at the British Surf Film Festival in Cornwall in September 2011 and polled the most online votes ahead of the first London Surf Festival at the Riverside Studios in October 2011.
